| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina DEBRA JEAN BURKE BRAMLETTE Posted Tuesday, March 1, 2022 6:00 am Debra Jean Burke Bramlette, 69, of Sumter, went to her eternal home on Friday, Feb. 25, 2022, at Prisma Heath Tuomey Hospital. She was born on May 25, 1952, in Alcolu. Debbie enjoyed her profession as a cosmetologist and worked with her clients in Sumter for more than 50 years. She loved making her "ladies" look beautiful. Debbie was a kind, sweet soul who truly would do anything for those that she loved. Debbie will be profoundly missed by her family and friends. She was devoted to her son, daughter-in-law and grandsons. She always had a wonderful story to share about her time with them. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Mozelle Burke; a brother, Herman Burke; two sisters, Alice Vining and Evelyn Hinson; and the father of her son, Mike Bramlett. Surviving are her son, Justin Bramlett (Courtney); two grandsons, Nathan and Aiden Bramlett; a brother, the Rev. Leroy Burke (Linda); five sisters, Hazel Ellis (John), Barbara Barkley, Patricia Carraway, Linda Broadway (Steve) and Gail Lancaster (Cleve); and a special friend, Penny Shipley. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Oak Grove Church cemetery in Manning. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made in her honor to the American Cancer Association, 950 48th Ave. North, Suite 101, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577; The American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692; or the American Diabetes Association, 2418 Blue Ridge Road, Suite 206, Raleigh, NC 27607.
