Born in Sumter, she was the daughter of Julius Leon Brogdon Jr. and Sarah Richardson Brogdon. Jean received her education from the Sumter schools, Columbia College and Clevenger Business College, where she made many lifelong friends. She worked in banking and was an accomplished artist. She was a member of Shandon United Methodist Church. Jean is survived by her daughter, Paula Richbourg (Chris) Adams of Franklin, Tennessee; grandchildren, Hope Davis, Brendan Davis, Katherine Adams, José Adams and Angela Adams; and great-grandchildren, Skyler Timothy, Tristan Langford, Sarah Davis, Murphy Davis and Grey Davis. She was predeceased by her daughter, Julia “Julie” Richbourg Davis. Jean never met a stranger. She dearly loved her God, her family and her friends. Services will be announced at a later time.
