Charles Maxwell SMYLY

1841 - 1918  (77 years)

• Name	Charles Maxwell SMYLY  [1, 2]
Birth	21 Jul 1841	Ruffin, Colleton County, South Carolina
  Gender	Male
HIST	Comments: Hon. John Smyly and Charity Touchstone are my 4th great-grandparents. Their son, Joseph Smyly Esq and Catherine Caldwell Stewart are my 3rd great-grandparents. And of their issue, Charles Maxwell Smyly and Narcissa Rutledge Stephens are my 2nd great grandparents. Their daughter, Sophia Sheldoyne Smyly married David Earl Appleby, thus my great grandparents. I have worked on my family history for about 30 years and of course, still have many questions. As a pottery artist, I am interested in learning how or why the Smyly family went to Edgefield to settle. Also interested in Rev. John Landrum and Margaret Lucretia Smyly. How many children did they have? Along with many more questions. Kindly, Debbie Appleby carolinadreamer459@yahoo.com Debbie Appleby CarolinaDreamer459@yahoo.com  [2]
