I am researching the Elijah Clayborne Lucas Family and have run into a roadblock and I am hoping to find someone who can help me with it. I have traced the family to Elijah. He was b; 1779 in Virginia, d; Jan 1864, Scott Co, KY. Elijah married Margaret Moore, b; 1783, VA d; after 1850, Scott Co, KY, and they were married 1765 Orange County VA. I am looking for some sort of documentation, (birth cert., church recd., deed, will, published gen., etc) that connects either of his parents to him. They were Thomas and Lois Looker (nee Singleton) Lucas. Thomas, b; 1749 in England, d; 24 Jun 1833, Scott Co, KY. Lois Looker Singleton b; 1795 d; 29 Oct 1817, Scott County, KY and they were married 1765 Orange County VA. Any help you can give us would be greatly appreciated.
