I hope that I put all of his other grandchildren with their correct parents. jkh at death- he had 5 great-grandchildren of Nesmith, South Carolina Alvin Lloyd Rollins NESMITH — Alvin Lloyd Rollins died Monday December 28, 2009 at Tidelands Hospice House in Georgetown, SC. He was born in Williamsburg County, son of the late James Gamble Rollins and Geneva Mobley Rollins, on December 26, 1930. He was an active member of Nesmith Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years and also served on the Cemetery Committee. He graduated from Indiantown High School and attended Clemson University. During his school years he was very active with the 4H Club, earning a trip to Chicago to the National Convention He also operated a dairy and farmed. He retired from a company now known as Martek. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joann Camlin Rollins of the home; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Cribb of Hemingway; two sons Jeffery Lloyd Rollins of Nesmith and Raymond Alvin Rollins of Myrtle Beach; one brother J.T. (Bernice) Rollins of Georgetown and one sister Velna (Pat) Patrick of Columbia; eight grandchildren, Witte (Amie) Cribb, Dustin Cribb, both of Hemingway, Jared and Jena Rollins of Nesmith, Amanda Powell of Marion, Andrew Rollins, Daniel Rollins and Rachel Rollins of Myrtle Beach, also five great-great-grandchildren. Alvin was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Frederick Cribb. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday December 31 2009 at Nesmith Baptist Church in Nesmith, SC, with burial in the church cemetery, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday December 30, 2009 at the funeral home.
