Notes

1. This came from a xerox in Camden, South Carolina, entitled "The Whitakers and Related Family Lines" by Kate Lenoir, l965. It's a book given to the Camden GS from the Camden cemetery Assn. Also have an update from Byrant Myers who got it from Hope C. Pees, Aurora, Colonel Robert was a Loyalist. He accepted a commision in the British Army in 1780 and rose to the rank of Colonel After the close of the Rev, Colonel Robert English was "banished forever and all his property seized and sold". He went to British Honduras where he lived the rest of his life. His will was filed in Belize, dated Aug 20, 1788. Three of his children -- James, Amelia and John later returned to Camden from Honduras and lived the rest of their lives in the Camden vicinity.
