| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina Louise and Frances were twins. Frances S. Fryfogle Frances Stafford Fryfogle, 93, widow of Frederick Richard Fryfogle (U.S. Air Force retired), died Sunday, June 12, 2011, with her family by her side. Born Feb. 26, 1918, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late William James and Lou Ethel Frierson Stafford. Mrs. Fryfogle was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church. Frances was a loving mother to Melinda Fryfogle Bydalek and husband, Butch, of Lexington; adoring grandmother to Katie Frances Brown Wise and husband, Will, and Jason Richard Brown and wife, Kelly, all of Sumter; proud great-grandmother of Jackson Thomas Brown, Payton Richard Brown and Brennan Claire Wise. Frances has two surviving sisters, her twin, Louise Stafford Jenkins of Satellite Beach, Fla., and Myrtle Stafford Sczesny of Anderson, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Sumter Cemetery with Rev. Stuart Mizelle officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of her niece, Pat Schultz, 2981 Waverly Drive in Lakewood, Sumter. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-0011. Online condolences may be sent to www.sumterfunerals.com.
