  The following was written on the front page of the Camden Chronicle- December 5, 1930. Mr. Shiver Dead at Pisgah ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ William Shiver, well-known citizen of the Pisgah section, died at his home early Tuesday morning after a short illness. Mr. Shiver was 78 years of age and he had only recently celebrated their golden wedding. He was a long and faithful member of Pisgah Baptist Church and had the respect of all who knew him. His widow and the following children survive him: Messrs. John Shiver, Willie Shiver, and Charles Shiver, Mrs. Clarence Dunlap, Mrs. Belton McManus, and Mrs. Walter Huggins, all of the Pisgah section. The funeral was held Wednesday morning at 11o'clock with the Masonic ceremony. Rev. Morrison, his pastor, with rev. J. P. Graham, a former pastor, took part in the services.
