| HIST | JEFFREY GLENN ROLLINS Posted Friday, August 20, 2021 6:00 am MT. CROGHAN - Jeffrey Glenn "Jeff" Rollins, age 59, entered into rest on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021, at his home after a very courageous battle with lung cancer. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Tadlock and the Rev. Kevin Cribb. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19 regulations, our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve. We also ask all guests and family members attending visitations and services to please continue social distancing, and face coverings are strongly encouraged. Mr. Rollins was born on Dec. 27, 1961, in Chesterfield County, a son of Thelma Cook Melton and the late Charles Ray "Boss" Rollings. He was employed with Jefferson Barns and Lumber with more than 30 years of service. An avid outdoorsman, Jeff enjoyed farming, riding four-wheelers and horses. He had a huge heart for his animals and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. In addition to his father, Mr. Rollins was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Wendell Nobles; mother-in-law, Myrtle Mae Baker; brother-in-law, Jim Watts; and brother of the heart, Danny Ray Steen. Survivors include his devoted wife, Robin Rollins of the home; children, Christopher (Jessica) Freeman of Jefferson and Mikey (Cortney) Freeman of Heath Springs; grandchildren, Emma Freeman and Ava Freeman; mother, Thelma Melton of Kershaw; brothers, Randy (Angie) Rollins of Wallace and Wayne (Lori) Melton of Kershaw; sisters, Elizabeth (Lennis) Williams of Cheraw, and Darla "Motsy" Watts and Angie Miles, both of Jefferson; numerous nieces and nephews; close friend and employer, Tony L. Donahue; his extended work family at Jefferson Barns and Lumber; close friends and "godparents," Jackie and Jean Campbell of Jefferson; and his loving dogs, Roxy and Prissy.
