| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina How is Elizabeth Stokes and her husband, Whit, of Sumter the sister-in-law of Shirley (Jones) Henderson? Shirley J. Henderson Shirley Jones Henderson, 77, beloved wife of 60 years of the late Warren A. Henderson Sr., died on Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Henderson was born on July 7, 1934, a daughter of the late John R. Sr. and Vermelle Newman Jones. She was employed for more than 40 years with Bell South. She was active at Westside Baptist Church and was a longtime member of the First Church of God. Surviving are: one son, Warren A. Henderson Jr. of Sumter; one daughter, Tammiann Henderson of Kingsport, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Cory Henderson, Ashliann Norton, Daniel Norton and Brandy Henderson Mayes and her husband, Andrew; four great-grandchildren, Stormi Henderson, Courtney Henderson, Michael Henderson and William Norton; two brothers, Larry Jones and his wife, Shirl, of Texas and Danny Jones of Sumter; and two sisters-in-law, Ann Jones of Barnwell and Elizabeth Stokes and her husband, Whit, of Sumter. She was preceded in death by a brother, John R. Jones, Jr., and an infant brother, Troy Elbert Jones. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at noon in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bullock Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to the Elks Club Scholarship Fund, 1100 W.
