| HIST | Are his children the children of Barbara Ferris? GLENN A. MONEY Posted Friday, August 8, 2025 9:31 am Glenn A. Money, 83, husband of Pamela L. Money, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2025. Born July 27, 1942, in Florence, he was the son of the late Roy Arthur Money and Sudie Lee Hill Money. Mr. Money retired from the NCR Corporation. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the American Legion. He was past master of Hillcrest Masonic Lodge #397, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, a Knights Templar York Rite Mason and a Jamil Shriner. Survivors in addition to his wife of 36 years include a daughter, Jody Gainey; two sons, Troy Money and Chad Money; three grandchildren, Chase Gainey, Casey Gainey and T.J. Money; two sisters, Fran Brubaker (John/“Bru”) and Carol Raley (Larry/“Butch”); his first wife, Barbara Ferris; and a number of dearly loved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Laney Bickley. He was also preceded by his loving canine companions, Casey Dog and Clyde. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025, in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. The family would like to express their appreciation to Amedisys Home Hospice, Visiting Angels and Carolina Caregivers for the exceptional care they provided. In accordance with his wishes, his body was donated to the Medical University of SC in Columbia through their Anatomical Gift Program. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Shriners Children’s Hospital Greenville, 950 W Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements. [1] | |
