Ervin Curtis Boone
CAMDEN — A funeral service for Ervin Curtis Boone, age 86, husband of the late Rosa Carol Moore Boone, who passed away Jan. 29, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at St. John United Methodist Church, Springhill Community of Lee County. Burial will be in St. John United Methodist Church Cemetery, directed by Norton Funeral Home, Bishopville Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Boone was born in Camden, a son of the late Lewis W. Boone and Mary Ellen Long Boone Jones. He retired from Dupont after 35 years of service, and was a member of the Masons and Shriners, member of the Southern Methodist Church and member of the American Legion. He was an Army veteran of WW II, having served in the 101st Airborne 502nd Division Company I. Surviving are 3 sons, Curtis (Donna) Boone, Clark (Annie) Boone, Alan Boone, Camden; daughter, Henrietta Crissman, Lugoff; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
