HUSBAND Posted Friday, September 23, 2016 6:00 am COLUMBIA - Barbara Anne Johnson Husband, 81, died on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill. Born on July 29, 1935, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Julian Sanders Johnson Sr. and Sadie Mae Holladay Johnson. Barbara was a full-time wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She taught Sunday school to a countless number of children for more than 50 years. She loved teaching children about Jesus, with her favorite Bible verse being John 3:16. She leaves a legacy of her faith in God through the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the many other children she taught in Sunday school. Barbara is survived by her husband, John Dudley Husband Jr. of Columbia; her daughter, Jane Husband Perrin (Robert) of Rock Hill; sons, John Dudley Husband III (Nancy) of Columbia, Richard Kent Husband (Kendra) of York and Allen Ray Husband (Stena) of Columbia; grandchildren, Lauren Husband Bryant, Logan Husband Fowles, Savannah Perrin, Chase Perrin, Kailee Husband, Karina Husband, Kensley Husband, Sydney Husband and Isaiah Husband; great-grandchildren, Ralen Bryant, Henry Fowles, Hampton Fowles and Eli Husband; and brothers, Aubrey Johnson (Miriam) and Michael Allen Johnson. In addition, she has a loving extended family of in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ethel Elaine Simon (Bruce); and brothers, William Seth Johnson (Anne), Julian Sanders Johnson Jr. (Alice Neil), Thomas Carlyle Johnson (Joyce) and Raymond Leroy Johnson. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at Union United Methodist Church in Manning. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at Rosewood Baptist Church in Columbia. A celebration service will follow at 6 p.m. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to White Oak Manor of Rock Hill and Hospice and Community Care of Rock Hill for the love and care they have provided.
