Geddings CAMDEN -- Funeral services celebrating the life of Ida Hudson Geddings, 95, of Camden, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Lakeview Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Hugh McKinney will officiate. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Geddings' memory to Lakeview Baptist Church, 1520 Mill St., Camden, SC 29020. Mrs. Geddings, widow of George Clinton Geddings, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Edward and Harriet Shorter "Hattie" Hudson. She was retired from Skyline Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church for more than 50 years. Surviving are four daughters, Jeanette G. King (Ferrell), Sandra G. Laney (Benny), Marilyn G. Reser and Marcia Geddings; three sons, Gerald Geddings (Myrtle), Lavern Geddings (Betty) and Allen Geddings (Patricia), all of Camden; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lila Elmore of Darlington, Trudie McLeod of Sumter, Docia Keech of Dickinson, Texas, and Mildred Lumpkins of Estill Springs, Tenn.; a brother, John Thomas Hudson of Pinewood. She was predeceased by a grandson, Tony King; sisters, Mae Rodgers, Ruby White and Ruth Rodgers; and brother, Marvin Hudson. Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
