ROBERSON Lexie Lorene Locklair Roberson, 86, widow of Harold Oliver Roberson, died Saturday, May 31, 2008, at National HealthCare of Sumter. Born in Sardis, she was a daughter of the late Wesley Winfield Locklair and Cora Irene Conner Locklair. Mrs. Roberson was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Horace ONeal Roberson Sr. and Cleveland Winfield Roberson, both of Sumter; a daughter, Shirley Ivus McDonald of Sumter; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased in death by four brothers, Paul Locklair, Ray Locklair, O.C. Locklair and Keith Locklair, and five sisters, Madeline Gibbons, Janie Broach, Leona Benton, Rita Matthews and Olea Ward. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at New Calvary Baptist Church with the Revs. Gene Stokes and Jerry Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at 40 Glenn Abby Court in Lakewood Links.
