, Texas where dwelt his brothers, Ernest and Richard Bryan and his sisters, Mrs. Luther Ferguson and Mrs. Wes Spivey. There are two other brothers, Cornelius of Caradan, and Bennie Bryan of De Leon, and these with his mother and father and his heartbroken wife, son, Aubrey and daughter, Mrs. Morine Lee, survive. His wife was Miss Ella Wells of McGirk. Mr. Bryan had been in ill health for several months and death came not as a shock but as a great sorrow, which, of course, loved ones had hoped would be stayed for awhile anyway. He was a good man, loyal citizen, faithful husband and kind, devoted father. His example will be a ever shining light to the pathway of those loved ones from whom he is separated for a time. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Pottsville.
The funeral was held in the Church of Christ at Pottsville on Monday afternoon. Elder Newton conducting the service. The body was laid to rest in the Pottsville cemetery. The inclement weather kept many friends away who would have gone from Hamilton to pay a tribute to his memory. His grave was covered with lovely flowers, some of the floral pieces coming from Port Arthur.
No words have power to heal the broken hearts of loved ones, but there is consolation in the sympathy of friends and this the Herald Record offers all who are bereaved by the death of J. W. Bryan
