BETTY SATORY
ROSWELL, Ga. -- Betty "Betsy" Burgess Lee Satory, 60, of Alpharetta, Ga., formerly of Sumter, died Nov. 21, 2009.
She was born May 20, 1949, in Sumter, to the late John Dozier Jr. and Betty Burgess Lee, and she was a granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John D. Lee and Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Burgess, all of Sumter. She attended the University of South Carolina and was a flight attendant for Delta Airlines for 40 years. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).
She is survived by her husband, James R. Satory; sister, Mary Dozier Lee Ellsworth and her husband, John; twin brother, John D. Lee III; niece, Lindsay Ellsworth Sadler and her husband, Jamie; and nephews, Ryan M. Ellsworth and Richard D. Lee.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sumter Cemetery, Oakland Avenue, Sumter, with the Rev. Charles F. Walton Jr. officiating.
