| HIST | DANIEL THEO BURNETTE Posted Friday, October 13, 2023 6:00 am Daniel "Danny" Theo Burnette, 77, husband of Elizabeth Ann Burnette, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023, at McLeod Regional Medical Center of The Pee Dee. Born Jan. 25, 1946, in Marion, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Ralph Theo Burnette and Lena Wrivers Elliot. He was a member of St. Johns Church, a drafter for Gold Kist and was an active member of the American Legion Post 15 and an Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War. Mr. Burnette loved everything that had wheels including airplanes, classic cars and old trucks. He enjoyed restoring antique tools and could build and restore anything. Survivors include: two daughters, Jennifer Burnette and Kathryn Naylor; two granddaughters, Summer Hollifield and Camilla Naylor; two grandsons, Brandon Naylor and Noah Naylor; two sisters-in-law, Robin Dykhuizen (Henry) and Linda Brunson; a special niece, Elena Lee (Sang); a special nephew, Lance Holloway; and many special friends, many nieces and nephews and his very special four-legged companion, Ginger. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, in Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel officiated by the Rev. John McLeod. Burial will be in Brunson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
