Born in Darlington County, he was a son of Betty Gainey Truett and the late Otis C. Truett. Truett was employed by T&T Tractors. Survivors, besides his mother of Bishopville, include: two sons, Joey Truett and Blake Truett, both of West Columbia; a sister, Sharon Odette Truett of Bishopville; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Rogers; and a brother, Randy Truett. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today in the Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Stevens officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthews United Methodist Church Cemetery. Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home of Bishopville is in charge of the arrangements. [2, 3] | |
