| HIST | of Alcolu, South Carolina Herman Thomas SAULS Posted Saturday, March 26, 2022 6:00 am ALCOLU - Herman Thomas Sauls, 75, husband of Gale Tidwell Sauls, died on Friday, March 25, 2022, at McLeod Health Clarendon. Born on July 18, 1946, in Columbia, he was a son of the late Herman Cecil Sauls and Virl Derrick Sauls. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired as captain of Clarendon County Fire Department. Surviving in addition to his wife of Alcolu are two daughters, M.J. Galloway (John) of Manning and Tonya Revill (Billy) of Sumter; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four sisters. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. William Jeffers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from noon to 1 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
