| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina at death- she had 4 nieces and 3 nephews Melissa D. Mims Melissa D. Mims, 37, wife of Christopher Mims, died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011, at her home. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Thomas D. and Mary A. Campbell. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jake Mims and Brandon Mims, both of the home; two sisters, Alice Montieth (Gary) of Ashville, N.C., and Julie Kendall (Adam) of Camden; a special aunt, Kay McLeod of Bishopville; four nieces; and three nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. John Strickland officiating. Burial will be in Concord Presbyterian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W.
