Born in Darlington, he was a son of the late Robert Anderson and Mary Gainey Watford. Mr. Watford was a retired painter. He had a companion- Mary Lyons of Hartsville, South Carolina Surviving are his wife, Robin Watford of Sumter; children, Ricky Watford, Robert Watford (Kyla), Ronnie Watford, Becky Hodge and Ryan Watford; 9/12 grandchildren; his stepfather, Bobby Watford of Manning; and his mother-in-law, Peggy Roberts of Sumter. He aslo had stepchildren- Jo Cutter, Jessica Lyons and Tommy Lyons. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mildred Gainey. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
