Greenlawn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Mrs. Kitchen passed away on Monday, December 27, 2010. Born in Nichols, SC on January 12, 1923, she was the daughter of the late John McLauren Hutchinson and Lula Powell Hutchinson. She was a floral designer and was employed with JB White for many years. She was a sweet and loving mother and will be deeply missed by her family. Surviving are her children, Gwen Kell of Port Royal, SC, Robin Higley of Memphis, TN and C.L. "Skip" Smith of Greenville, SC; her brothers, Carroll Hutchinson of West Columbia, SC and Herman Hutchinson of Half Moon Bay, CA; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
