She is employed by Washburn & Company as manager of The OOPS! Company, Columbia. The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gilson of Lamont, Iowa, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bert Ohl of Oelwein. He graduated from Kirkwood College with a degree in marketing and management. He is employed by FedEx, Columbia. The wedding is planned for April 16, 2011, at Cypress Trees Plantation, Edisto Island. The Rev. Elizabeth Platts of Holy Spirit Evangelical Lutheran Church, Charleston, officiated at the ceremony. A reception followed.
