| HIST | Lottie Holladay Wooten Lottie Holladay Wooten LEXINGTON - Funeral services for Lottie Holladay Boone Wooten, 83, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2012, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Our beloved Lottie Belle Holladay Boone Wooten went home to be with her precious Lord and Savior Sunday, May 27, 2012. Born September 30, 1928 in Clarendon County, SC, she was a daughter of the late William Ruthen Holladay and Ida Isabelle Huggins Holladay Owens. A wonderful woman of God, Ms. Wooten was a testimony of faith. She overcame many trials in her life, including the untimely death of her first husband, Gordon Cromer Boone. Even in the midst of grief and trials, her faith persevered. God provided a wonderful husband, Cleavon Wooten, to ease her grief, and they enjoyed many years together until his passing. She was a wonderful mother to her precious children and was an example to her grandchildren of a Christ like life. Ms. Wooten left behind three children: Gordon Cromer Boone, Jr. (Loraine Boone), Archie Boone (Joy Boone), and Mary Boone Ritter (Thomas Ritter, Jr.), and three step-children: Ronald Wooten (Kay Wooten), Donald Wooten (Kathy Wooten) and Margaret Douglas. She was predeceased by her wonderful son, Timothy Earl Boone. Ms. Wooten was the proud grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind eight siblings: Mary Watson, Hattie Garris, Carolyn Hardee, Wilene Johnson, George Holladay, Bobby Holladay, Sam Holladay, and Vernon Holladay. She was predeceased by five siblings: Johnny Holladay, Will Holladay, Joe Holladay, Elizabeth Holladay Johnson, and Isabelle Spivey. Her compassion for others was great, and she never let her own difficulties stand in the way of showing God's love to those in need. Though her sweet spirit will be missed by those of us here on earth, angels are rejoicing at the sight of another dear child come to her eternal home. It's shoutin' time in heaven! Our beloved Saint has gone home. She's doing the jitterbug on streets of gold! Memorials may be made to Orangeburg Christian Academy, notating The Timothy Project, 1842 Joe S.
