SHELTON Posted Sunday, November 19, 2017 2:00 am MANNING - Cheryl Alethea Hodge Shelton, 46, wife of Roger Earl Shelton Jr., died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, at McLeod Regional Medical Center. Born Sept. 19, 1971, in Manning, she was a daughter of Junius Cecil Hodge Sr. and Mary Rose Geddings Hodge. She was a K5 teacher at Laurence Manning Academy for 22 years and she was a member of Home Branch Baptist Church. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by two sons, Roger Earl Shelton III and Alexander William Shelton; two daughters, Sophia Grace Shelton and Lydia Grace Shelton; two sisters, Linda Page (Bo) and Julie Dalzell; a brother, Cecil Hodge Jr. (Heather); two nephews, Robbie Page and Hunter Dalzell; and three nieces, Ashley Mays (Matt), Allison Page and Ashley Rae Hodge, all of Manning. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Bennie Barwick officiating. Burial will follow in Home Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Trenton Wayne Durrence, Griffin Nolan McCabe, Hunter Wayne Dalzell, Robert Lee Page Jr., McDowell Geddings and Wayne Watts. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, Alex Shelton, 7524 Old Georgetown Road, Manning.
