| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina Marilyn Elliott Bullard Wednesday, September 11th, 1935 - Tuesday, August 22nd, 2023 Obituary Marilyn Elliott Bullard, affectionately known as “B”, was a lifelong resident of Sumter. She passed away on August 22nd at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital in Sumter after a brief hospitalization. “B” had a good life and was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her father, Grover Cleveland Elliott, her mother, Lonie Marlowe Elliott, her husband, William Carlisle Bullard, oldest son, Danny Carlisle Bullard and her niece, Iris H. Perry. She is survived by her son, William Dale Bullard (Kay), her sister, Evyleen Elliott Housand, her brother, Larry Cleveland Elliott (Geraldine), her nieces, Wanda Gail Anderson and Wendy Karen Johnson, and her nephew, Michael Donavan Elliott in addition to her granddaughters, Shannon Bullard Sweetser (Russ), Autumn Bullard Huffman (Jacob), Taylor Nichole Bullard and her grandson, Nicholas Carlisle Bullard. She is also survived by great grandson, Fox Eliot Huffman and one daughter in law Peggy Wilkins Bullard. Marilyn worked over 30 years for Avon Products and served as the District Manager of Avon for Sumter and Clarendon Counties until her retirement several years ago. She was a dedicated volunteer at Tuomey Hospital in surgical waiting and an active member of the Sumter Newcomers Club including two separate one-year terms as President. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4-6 P.M. at Elmore-Stephens-Cannon Funeral Home which is located at 515 Miller Road in Sumter. There will be a graveside service at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery located at 802 N Guignard Drive in Sumter. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to consider a memorial donation to the SPCA, 1150 S. Guignard Dr., Sumter, SC 29150, the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dal-las, TX 75284-0692, or the American Cancer Society American, P.O. Box 6704, Hager-stown, MD 21741. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
