| HIST | CLARA B. MAZONKEY Posted Friday, July 31, 2020 6:00 am Clara B. Mazonkey, 95, wife of William R. "Bill" Mazonkey, died on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at NHC Healthcare. Born on Feb. 2, 1925, in Abbeville, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Allie Mae Hill Bratcher. She was a member of Northside Memorial Baptist Church and retired as the manager of the Bar-B-Que Hut. Survivors include her husband of 55 years; a daughter, Pamela Revill (Mark) of Sumter; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three daughters, Gail Richey, Wilma Ballard and Lucy Sears; a grandson, Dwayne Sears; four brothers, J.B. Bratcher, Howard Bratcher, Barney Bratcher and R.E. Bratcher; and five sisters, Annie Walls, Catherine McGill, Doris Bratcher Smith, Mary Ellison and Louise Ashley. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery with the Rev. Neal Sweet officiating. The family would like to express their gratitude to Administrator Jeannie Crotz, the CNA's, nurses and other staff of NHC Healthcare for their loving care of Mrs. Mazonkey during her final days. Special thanks to Missie Holley for her compassion in sitting with and caring for Mrs. Mazonkey. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northside Memorial Baptist Church, 1004 N.
