Frank will be remembered and missed by his children, Frank Jr. (Linda), Brantley, Larry (Tina), Debbie (Keith) Hubbard, Kenneth (Pam), Dora (David) Fletcher and Penny (Marvin) Orrel as well as twenty five grandchildren, several great grandchildren, brothers Hilton and Billy Toomer and sisters Juanita Kennedy and Frances Heyward. Frank is preceded is death by daughters Suzanne Woods and Barbara Sfida, sister Marion and brother Simpson "Chief" Toomer. Frank was born on Hilton Head Island on March 30, 1928 to Simpson Vanderhorst Toomer and Susie Mae Toomer. His family was the first family to open an oyster factory in the area. Frank was the owner/operator of Hilton Head Seafood Company for over 35 years. A memorial service will be held on Sunday August 15 at 5:00pm at the Bluffton Oyster Company, 63 Wharf Street, Bluffton, SC. Family and friends are invited to attend.
