At that time he was described as being short with a medium build, blue eyes and light brown hair. ....... Hilton Head-Simpson V. Toomer, 70, seafood and cattle dealer, died Wednesday in St. Joseph's Hospital, Savanah, after a short illness. Funeral services were held in the Sipple Funeral Home, with burial in Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah. He was born in Savannah in 1888, a son of the late E. V. Toomer and Essie A. Toomer, both of Savannah. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Annie Williams Toomer, Hilton Head; three daughters, Mrs. Curtis O'Quinn, Beaufort; Mrs. J.L. Kennedy, Charleston and Mrs. Tommy J. Haywood, Monroe, NC; four sons, Simpson Toomer Jr., Buckingham Ferry, Hilton Head; Hilton E. Toomer, Key West, Florida; Frank G. Toomer, Arkansas Pass, Texas and William S.
