Born in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Hovey L. Robertson and the late Ila Baker Robertson. Mrs. Nesbitt was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and was a retired investment services operations clerk with the National Bank of South Carolina. Surviving are a son, Charles L. Nesbitt Jr. and wife, Susan, of Sumter; two daughters, Dawn Nesbitt Pierson and husband, Doug, and Debra Ila Nesbitt Hitchcock of Sumter; a sister, Annie Ruth Jacobs; three brothers, Leland Robertson, Marion Leonard Robertson and wife, Carol, and James English Robertson and wife, Barbara; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Juanita Newman; two brothers, Charles White Robertson and Hovey Samuel Robertson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Walt Kendall officiating. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Patrick Nesbitt, John Pierson Jr., Charles Hitchcock, Shawn Hitchcock, Kevin Hitchcock, Richard Green and Mickey Robinson. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
