Born Feb. 7, 1952, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Jake M. and Sadie Galloway Hodge. He was employed by Hodge Trucking Co. Survivors include a son, Willie M. Hodge Jr.; a daughter, Sadie Hodge; a grandson, Jeremy Coggins, all of Sumter; a brother, Jake Randall Hodge of Sumter; and five sisters, Henrietta Hodge, Diane Hodge, Bobby Jean H. Carraway and Mary Ann H. Lyles (Milton), all of Sumter, and Diann May (Johnny) of Greenville. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence E. Hodge and Roy Scotty Hodge. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. Graham Bochman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at Providence Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Providence Baptist Church Building Fund, 2445 Old Manning Road, Sumter, SC 29150.
